ABOUT
I was from the Tibetan mountain Yi Tribe where silver jewellery making is an ancient tradition. I have been trained under a master there and returns to the mountain annually to continue this training . I am one of very few women doing so, only hand tools are used for this old techniques.
I also went to Vancouver Community College for a diploma degree for Jewelry Art and Design . Since studying modern methods of working on silver, bringing traditional and modern methods together has become an essential element of my artistic growth. It is through this combination, I find the key inspiration that drives my art practice.
My jewelry pieces displayed in a number of galleries and boutiques through Canada, such as Art Gallery of Vancouver, Art Gallery of Alberta, Royal Alberta Museum, Alberta Craft Council, Capilano Suspension Bridge gift shop, Ottawa L.A.Pai Jewerly Gallery, etc. My works also exhibit in my own Simpler Slower Silver exhibition in Alberta Craft Council, and Coming up Next Exhibition in Alberta Craft Council, as well as two years in Earring Show from BC Craft Council.
