Maya Bergeron-Uni Design
Dates: October 26–27
Time: 10am - 6pm
Join us to experience the vibrant and sustainable creations of Maya Bergeron, founder of Uni Design and a talented textile artist from Gibsons, BC. Maya's passion for sustainability and creative expression shines through in each of her handmade pieces, which are thoughtfully crafted using upcycled and repurposed textiles such as vintage linens, wool, silk, and cotton.
Maya's work is a celebration of fabric and color, combining different textures and patterns into unique, one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces. She utilizes a technique called improvisational sewing, a modern quilting method that allows her to piece together textile scraps in abstract and harmonious compositions, resulting in stunning patchwork designs that are as environmentally conscious as they are beautiful.
Every piece from Uni Design is truly unique, reflecting Maya's love for the history and craftsmanship behind textiles. This is your opportunity to meet the artist in person, learn about her creative process, and find a special item that resonates with your own sense of style and sustainability. Whether you're looking for a bold fashion statement or a thoughtful gift, Maya's work offers something for everyone who appreciates the artistry of textiles.
Support local talent and explore the beauty of sustainable fashion this weekend at Circle Craft's pop-up event with Maya Bergeron. We can't wait to see you there!
