ABOUT
Recognized Internationally for his innovative and original pieces, Jason is one of Canada’s most distinguished Woodturners. Establishing a studio in Canada in 1980; he uses indigenous woods of B.C. Particularly known for his signature Helmet Sculptures, he produces a wide range of vessels bowl form and turned boxes, architectural scale wall pieces up to 3 meters convey the influence of the natural world.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Jason Marlow was born in England, establishing a studio in Canada in 1980.
Using woods indigenous to British Columbia for all his work, Jason produces large-scale wall pieces as well as a range of smaller objects inspired by Vancouver Island’s forests, rivers, mountains and wildlife.
