Neacol Miller is a creator obsessed with the magical and the mysterious. Secluded on an island in the Pacific Northwest, her work is a vivid interplay of the fantastical and the mundane, drawing from mythology, folklore and pop culture, as well as her own personal journey. Her sculpture work, mostly sculpted in the unforgiving material of hot glass, is the product of obsessive skill improvement and dedication.Miller’s art evokes wonder through a focus on mythical beasts and iconography and a use of a vibrant palette. Her sculptures and jewelry are not just crafted with technical precision but are imbued with a playful spirit and a sense of endearing charm. On the surface, each piece is simply beautiful or engagingly adorable, but, at closer inspection, they belie a radical passion for engaging with the unknown.
