Walking helps me sort out my ideas, and then I come into the studio and spend a lot of time working on those things and figuring out how to express them,

My works all begin as plain cloth which I then dye, print, paint and sew, to createa unique surface which will be transformed into cither a functional object or a piece of art for the wall.

Textiles have always been a major part of my life. I have travelled to countries and cultures where cloth is treasured as art and functional object, plus visited various major textile museums, and continue to follow current trends in the world of contemporary fibre ants.

Inspiration comes from both nature and culture, leading to the creative process of developing an idea to resolution, a deeply satisfying involvement.
