Leather & Fibre Arts from Vancouver

Born in Granby, Quebec, Lina Cutnam traces the roots of her passion for creativity back to early childhood when she was introduced to fashion modeling at the age of five. Before long, she was modifying her own clothes and those of her friends, personalizing her vision for fashion and helping to bring out individual expression in others.

Lina is an experienced, self-directed artist, specializing in the exploration of fabric through dyeing, sewing, beading, felting and crochet. She uses a variety of natural fibers, leather and found objects such as stones and shells to create her mixed media textiles. Her favourite techniques are pyrography (literally, “writing with fire”), embroidery and crochet, the combination of which ensures a very unique collection with a personal, feminine touch. Many of her pieces have been showcased in custom collections as well as high end fashion boutiques in Quebec.

Lina’s collections are rich in combinations and contrasts for people who enjoy attention to detail and who seek originality over industrial mass-production. Her signature trademark of reversibility makes her pieces especially versatile and one-of-a-kind.
