As a potter, I find joy in the playful process of creation, and the satisfaction of seeing my art become a cherished part of someone's daily life.

As an artist for over 25 years, I have always been drawn to the limitless capacity of clay. After graduating from Emily Carr University, I established a popular ceramic studio on Railspur Alley in Granville Island, where I produced a colorful and functional line of low-fire pottery. Though my artistic journey has since led me to explore other mediums, I have returned to my first love, hand-building functional pottery inspired by the natural imagery of the British Arts and Crafts movement and William Morris.

My creations reflect the desire to connect with handmade goods and embrace the uniqueness of kiln-to-table wares, reflecting the Slow Food movement's emphasis on knowing the origins of our nourishment and tableware. Each piece I craft is a work of art that is both functional and never too precious to be used and enjoyed.
