I have been working with clay for almost 40 years since art college and have been fortunate, after a lot of hard work, to make a living from a craft I respect and love.
After moving from Vancouver to the Island, I switched from gas fired pots to electric and delighted to see the response to my new work. Since then I have produced functional dinnerware for several restaurants, supplied galleries, attended shows, taken part in invitational exhibitions, and taken commissions for clients.
I attended “Carlisle College of Art” in the Lake District in England—Beatrix Potter country. After receiving a “Licentiateship of the Society of Designer Crafts”, I apprenticed with well-known potters in the U.K. before moving to Canada.
