Geoff Searle has been working as an artist, mostly in clay, since 1972. Born and raised in Kimberley, B.C., he attended the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson and lived in a number of communities throughout the province before settling on the West Coast.
Geoff likes to work in a variety of techniques including sculpture, raku and pit firing. He also produces a line of functional stoneware.
“It has been said that my work is ‘almost as intriguing as the man himself’. Not known to be conformist, my creativity and natural curiosity have led to some exciting work.”
