ARTIST STATEMENT

Inspired by archeological artifacts, I strive to create unique jewellery that looks ancient yet modern, raw yet sophisticated, bold and delicate. In my design the ancient and modern worlds meet. All my pieces are individually handcrafted by me through all stages of the jewelry making process. My jewellery is hand fabricated from sterling silver using traditional techniques, of which my favourite one is fusing. Fusing feels like sculpting with the flame and it allows me to achieve the desired medieval look of my pieces, as if they had been discovered at some archeological site. I use 18k gold for details which symbolize the heart and essence of the piece. Most of my pieces are oxidized-darkened to create ancient and rustic look.
