Circle Craft Co-operative, located on Granville Island, showcases the finest in BC craft. As a co-op of over 130 artists, we’re renowned for our integrity and quality. Our store features a diverse range of exquisite work in ceramics, glass, jewelry, metal, paper, textiles, and wood. 

Position Overview

The Retail Store Manager at Circle Craft Co-op will lead our retail team, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role is vital in connecting our members with our customers, maintaining store operations, and fostering a positive work culture.

Core Responsibilities

• Celebrate and Sell BC’s Finest Craft: Engage customers and promote our unique offerings.
• Lead and Inspire: Motivate and manage a knowledgeable retail team.
• Customer Experience: Build loyalty and create a positive shopping experience.
• Retail Floor Presence: Model exceptional service and guide team members.
• Team Management: Handle hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
• Work Environment: Promote an inclusive, respectful, and rewarding workplace.
• Operational Planning: Collaborate with the board to develop plans and performance indicators.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong merchandising and social media skills.
• Proven experience in retail management and staff development.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, and POS systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office and retail management (preferred).
