FEBRUARY
February 8 - March 4, 2008 Circle Craft Student Scholarship Recipients This exhibition features the work of the Circle Craft 2007 Student Scolarship Award recipients in ceramics, jewellery, textiles and metal.

MARCH
March 7 - April 1, 2008 Dale Rouleau Coastal Impressions This exhibition is an exploration of sculptural work using found materials from the 2006 and 2007 winter storms of the BC coast.

APRIL
April 4 - April 29, 2008 Jill Allan bubble Opening Reception: Sunday April 6 from 10am - 1pm Allan's glass work revolves around three basic themes: repetition of form, repetion of pattern and exploiting the properties of light. By using these elements she makes her work interesting, rich and simple.

MAY
May 2 - June 3, 2008 Kaija Rautiainen Natural Images (Bear Encounters) Opening Reception: Thursday, May 1 from 6 - 8pm This exhibit features hand woven tapestries made on the digital jacquard loom. Nature, and particularly bears, has been a source of inspiration for these works.

JUNE
June 6 - July 1, 2007 Jim Etzkorn Solstice Opening reception Thursday, June 5 from 6pm - 8pm Etzkorn's work has changed from doing closed forms to exploring more open forms such as bowls and plates. He has been altering these and exploring glazes. His forms are influenced by the English potter Lucy Rie as well as classical forms from the Sung and Ming periods in China.

JULY
July 4 - August 5, 2008 Hold That Thought Woven Vessels by Joan Carrigan Opening reception Thursday, July 3rd from 6pm - 8pm This exhibit highlights the use of natural materials in basketry. Included are pieces from the Entwined Series, made with sedge, cedar bark and root. In addition, a series of more sculptural bark vessels with arbutus, willow and cherry barks will also be shown. Several framed pieces of woven willow bark in twill patterns will act as a backdrop to the 3D pieces.

AUGUST
August 8 - September 2, 2008 CHROMA Jewellery by Monique Mousseau Opening Reception, Thurs Aug 7 from 6 – 8 pm The jewellery in this exhibit is all about colour and the forms used to contain it. With enamelled surfaces organized by colour, wearable shapes form a relationship with the texture and dimension of gemstones.

SEPTEMBER
September 5 - September 30, 2008 Patterns of Expansion Jessica de Haas Opening Reception, Thurs September 5 from 6 – 8 pm An exploration of wearable and 2D fibre pieces, focusing on, but not limited to, felt. de Haas will be exploring colour, texture, pattern & embellishment using surface design techniques such as resist dying & overdying, inlay, cutout, natural dyes, batik & embroidery.

OCTOBER
October 3 - November 4, 2008 Christmas Market Preview
This exhibition features the work of some of the craftspeople participating in the Circle Craft Christmas Market at the Vancouver Exhibition and Convention Centre Nov. 11 - 16, 2008. A selection of objects in a wide range of media, provides an opportunity for a sneak preview before the show. Advance ticket sales for the market start online September 15th!

NOVEMBER
November 7 - December 2, 2008 Michelle Mathias Things of Omen Opening Reception, Thurs November 6 from 6 – 8 pm This glass mosaic sculptural exhibit portrays the elusive traits of omen archetypes (black cats, ravens, owls). Mathias believes that some species of great beauty, elegance and grace became omen archetypes because of their mysterious carriage.
