The title revolves around the fact that all furniture will fit into three categories: Seating, Surface and Storage. Each of us has made a piece of furniture that will fit into each category. The title also makes light of a term used to describe the way wood is prepared and sold, S2S meaning surfaced on two sides. S3S can be seen as local furniture makers "surfacing on three sides".
