Christiane Fortier

This series of pots is simply a desire to design unique sculptural forms for flowers while exploring new relationships between line, colour and texture. Several thrown sections of clay are combined, the forms are enhanced with glazes, slips and metallic oxides and multifired in an electric kiln.

Christiane Fortier, a resident of Vancouver, BC, has been making pots for the past 25 years. She is no longer focused on production tableware and custom orders and is now exploring new "mud pie" territory.
