"Playfulness, joy and the beauty of life. This is the energy that has been the focus of my foray into the land of teapots and other functional objects. The subtleties of lip and foot, the curve of a bowl, the fit of a handle. Sweet, quiet and thought-provoking."

Christine Dell's pieces are entirely handbuilt. Beginning with pure white porcelain, she creates various shapes through such methods such as pinching, coils, slabs and molds. These forms are then recombined to make a unified and unique piece. Depth is achieved through her careful use of underglazes, stains and finally, colourful transparent top glazes.

Spring, in all its glory of new growth and delicate buds is Christine Dell's favourite season and her current work celebrates the vibrant colours of that season.
