For the past 15 years, I have been exploring new glaze surfaces and textures. I work with a white, porcelain stoneware which is high fired in an electric kiln. Pots are thrown in a series of similar shapes; some pieces are joined in sections. Clay slips and glazes mixed with coloured stains and metallic oxides are applied to each pot. Many pieces are multifired to achieve different gradations of colour and texture. The stainless steel handles are fabricated, hand filed, sanded and bent to shape each unique teapot.

The endless possibilities of shape and texture keep my clay fires burning.
