MARCH
March 6 - March 31, 2009 Mikel Lefler Resinology An avid interest and training in both science and art has driven me to create beautifully crafted sterling silver and resin jewellery. Most of the work will contain insects in whole or in part but some will be strictly in resin and pigment alone. I will be displaying all types of jewellery: pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, brooches and cufflinks as well as a few other more sculptural pieces.

November 6 - December 1, 2009 Elaine Brewer-White Light-Headed Opening Reception Thursday, November 5 from 6pm - 8pm For this new series of works, titled “Light-Headed,” Brewer-White engages the concept of blending art and utility—namely, art as light source. “In this age of recession and belt-tightening, I wanted to reflect on ways I could present art that serves a purpose as well as an aesthetic. The idea of creating torsos with lights for heads made me laugh—and got me so excited I’ve been in my studio 24/7!” says Brewer-White.
